The Perry Township Religious Education Association is governed by a board of directors comprised of teachers, parents and interested church members.  Since 1975 children in Perry Township public elementary schools have participated in religious education. “Release time” laws allow children, with parental permission, to be released from the classroom once a week to participate in religious education or stay after school to attend.  These classes take place off school property and are held either in nearby churches or in mobile classrooms.  All instruction is designed with kids in mind, respecting different perspectives on faith with the gracious love of God.  The classes intend to encourage, teach and love students in a well-rounded holistic experience.

Several members of our church family participate in PTREA by providing instruction and spiritual guidance to the children who participate in this important ministry.
